iwow helped Interoc with requirements analysis, procurement and implementation of a new business IT platform.
Interoc had a diverse IT landscape, with several systems supporting its business. One of the key systems was also approaching end-of-life. They needed help harmonizing the landscape and creating standard processes for administering and managing the projects.
iwow assisted Interoc with this challenge. The project was divided into three phases: assessment, procurement, and implementation. All phases included close cooperation with the Interoc team.
Assessment
The phase began by defining the project’s objectives and requirements and identifying the systems that needed to be replaced. Goals included improving efficiency, scalability, and streamlining the process.
Next, a high-level assessment of the current systems and processes was conducted, mapping the current situation and producing a requirements document. This material then became the basis for the procurement process.
Procurement
Based on the requirements gathered in the assessment, a shortlist of system providers was created. Demos were booked with selected suppliers invited to the Request for Proposal (RFP) process. RFPs were sent to vendors chosen with detailed requirements.
Final demonstrations were conducted to evaluate usability, flexibility, and fit with the business processes and needs, and reference checks were performed. Finally, vendors were selected, and contracts were negotiated.
Implementation
New systems to support finance, time and expense, accounts payable, project follow-up, and integration were implemented across all companies. They were also integrated with existing operational project management systems. iwow supported the client through the implementation and was the main point of contact towards the external IT system integration.
.
The project resulted in the implementation of four new systems and a standardized way of working across all employees within the company.
The process improvements resulted specifically in improved reporting project forecasts and follow-up, enabling a faster monthly reporting and closing process.
As part of the implementation, master data was revised, and key data is now entered once and shared across the different systems, increasing data quality.
