iwow supported a construction data company improve its global tech delivery by bringing teams together, modernizing platforms, connecting legacy systems, and introducing AI‑driven development practices.

The client needed a solution capable of updating all interconnected system, while ensuring that all historical data and every change remained fully traceable and instantly accessible.
The challenge involved consolidating large amounts of data originating from multiple systems and sources and presenting it through a clear, visual, and dynamic interface that supported rapid, confident decision‑making.
iwow was tasked with leading an in‑depth Discovery Phase to identify how the client’s requirements could be met in a scalable and future‑proof way. The work included:
- Evaluating how two of the five existing systems could address the real‑time update and traceability needs
- Conducting an intensive four‑week investigation into data flows, system capabilities, and architectural options
- Developing proof‑of‑concepts (POCs) to test potential solution paths
- Assessing integration patterns, data synchronization, and user experience requirements
A key part of the technical evaluation involved exploring an event‑sourced architecture as the foundation for the new solution.
Event sourcing means that every change in the system is stored as an immutable “event” in a chronological event log, rather than only storing the latest state. This approach makes it possible to:
- Replay historical events to reconstruct any past state
- Ensure complete traceability
- Achieve real‑time propagation of changes across multiple systems
- Support high scalability for large, distributed data environments
Throughout the assignment, iwow provided structured and decisive leadership, coordinating stakeholders and guiding the technical direction.
The Discovery Phase concluded with a comprehensive final report summarizing findings, insights, and recommended next steps.

The Discovery Phase provided the client with:
- Validated architectural approaches, including confirmation that an event‑sourced architecture could meet the requirements for real‑time updates and full historical traceability
- POCs demonstrating technical feasibility and how data could flow across systems using event streams
- A clear understanding of how two existing systems could support the envisioned solution
- A solid foundation of insights and recommendations that enabled the client to create their future roadmap
